SafePath Alliance for Women and Girls is a Nigerian non-government, non-profit organization that works to advance inclusive and equitable pathways for women and girls to combat violence, survive crises and walk out of unemployment and poverty. The organization is committed to promoting sustainable locally driven social change processes that put women right at the center of decision making processes on issues that affect them.

Nkechi Jane-Frances Odinukwe
Nkechi as fondly called by her colleagues has over 20 years’ experience of working with grassroots groups and labor partners across West Africa to build cultures of equality and inclusion through participatory processes that co-create strategies focused both on individual and systemic change in organizations and communities. Her work with communities and worker organizations focuses on building new knowledge from practice, especially in the areas of gender equality, climate change, transformative leadership, girl child education, gender based violence, migration, and conflict resilience. She has served at various times, since 1999 as senior attorney in a law firm, community mobilization/ hygiene & sanitation officer with European Union support program- WSSSRP and senior program officer with Solidarity Center AFL-CIO.
Ms. Odinukwe holds a Master’s Degree in Law. She is a proud associate of a global grassroots feminist network called Gender at Work. She has also represented sub-saharan Africa as a member of the Board of Trustees of International Lawyers Assisting Workers Network (ILAW), Nkechi is presently the Director of SAFEPATH Alliance for Women and Girls - a non profit organization dedicated to building safe and supportive learning spaces, networks and environment for women in her home country, Nigeria. Ms. Odinukwe enjoys writing stories around gender equality issues and her stories are widely published in national newspapers in her country. A Christian, Nkechi is married with children.

Chioma Joy Amuluche is in the public service working with Anambra State Judiciary as an Administrative Chief Magistrate. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Nigeria. A member of Federation of International Women Lawyers and Nigeria Bar Association. Chioma is a passionate feminist and woman human right activist.

Deborah John Yusufu Is a Deputy Director Nursing (Head of Critical Care Unit) Asokoro District Hospital Abuja, with extensive experience in critical care nursing, midwifery and administration. She is also the current National Chairperson of National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) Women Committee and the Chairperson Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) FCT, Abuja. Having graduated from School of Nursing, University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital Maiduguri with a General Nursing Certificate in 1990 she has gone on to further her academic qualifications to the level of Masters in Nursing from Maryam Abacha American University, Niger Republic in 2020 and currently pursuing a Masters in Administration and Planning from Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
Comrade Deborah John Yusufu is a passionate and dedicated health practitioner with various contributions to humanitarian projects such as working with the United States Agency for International Development – USAID on the ‘Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT)’ project among others. Her strong passion for professional development and service to health care has led her to become a major advocate for inclusiveness and empowerment among health workers through her service in roles with Nigerian Labour Congress and JOHESU. She is also a strong believer in protecting the vulnerable in society including women and children in all levels of health care and humanity at large.

Kayode Adeleye
Kayode Adeniyi Adeleye is an astute procurement specialist with over 19 years of experience. He worked on 3 World Bank projects for Lagos State while he was a civil servant with the Lagos State Government. Kayode has 2 degrees each in Civil Engineering and Economics, he also holds a Masters degree in Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Management and a PhD in Business Management from the University of Salford, UK and the University of America, USA corespondingly. Mr Adeleye is widely trained all over the world and has handled many successful projects that received the World Bank’s highest performance rating of “Highly Satisfactory”. He was part of the top leadership of the Lagos Eko Secondary Education Project Team that won the World Bank’s prestigious VPU award for 2012. He consults for many private organizations after his retirement from the Lagos State civil service and he is presently the Project Procurement Consultant for the Ogun State Economic Transformation Project (OGSTEP). Kayode loves hunting as a spot.

A graduate, Nneka has wide experience on growing rural businesses. She has empowered so many rural women through her numerous businesses to become financially independent. Nneka is Married with Children.
