Safepath Nigeria joins one of Nigeria largest Women-Led/Focused Network

SafePath Alliance for Women and Girls recently got selected to attend a 3 day capacity building training organized by one of Nigeria’s leading non-governmental organization called Widows and Orphans Empowerment Organization (WEWE). The workshop which was funded with support from USAID – SCALE Project brought together about 30 CSOs to build their capacity around “Organizational Sustainability and Resource Mobilization”. SafePath Alliance for Women and Girls was among the first batch of 30 organizations  to benefit from this capacity-building and strengthening planning Workshop that was held at Hawthorn Suites Abuja from 26th – 28th July 2023.

WEWE’s Executive Director/Lead Facilitator, Dr. Josephine Ogazi shared during the workshop that the trainings and network will focus on strengthening the capacity of the members of the network with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive as women Led organizations. She shared that the network is aimed at building synergy and collaboration among 198 NGOs, CSOs, and women-owned businesses spread across different regions in Nigeria. The joint platform will be used to amplify the voices of member organizations and also advocate for women’s/ girls’ rights.

At the end of the workshop, SafePath Nigeria, SafePath Nigeria joined WEWE and other participating organizations to launch the women-led/women-focused network of 198 members.

The training workshop provided a powerful platform for women-led organizations to equip themselves with the tools and knowledge to drive meaningful change. SafePath Nigeria thanks USAID, Palladium, and WEWE  for their sustained commitment at supporting young organization like us to advance gender equality in our communities.
